This is a series of conte crayon drawings, pencil drawings and paintings created in Adobe Fresco. They are initially photos taken, mainly, around Santa Cruz County, California. Some are from elsewhere in California. For the conte and pencil drawings I have used multiple layers - each color in each section of the drawing is created in its own layer. The layers are positioned accordingly and the overall effect aimed for is that of a reduction print. Softening can sometimes come from a chalk layer that sits at the top.
