Birds and Surf, Surfin' Birds, in Capitola
This set is from the dawn patrol series during November's big swell. The pelicans seem to have gone away for winter and the gulls have run of Soquel Cove. They pick through the stuff washed up on the shore, sadly this can mean plastic trash as well as nice little fishy snacks. They fly low along the surfline, noisily gathering by the shorebreak at times.
